First, let's start with why I chose to design a site with a white background... I usually don't design sites with a white background because they look too plain and simple. But when my cousin was looking for something at Amazon.com, I really liked that design. I wanted to design a site which looked just like that.

I noted the colours they used, and I spent a LOT of time trying to re-create their style of graphics (the tabbed bar at the top etc.) and adding my own touches. Let me tell you that though this site looks pretty simple, it took me longer to design this site than any of the others. Drawing those rounded rectangles properly is tough!
